Rules:

  • Sign up by posting to this thread HERE.
  • Minimum length for stories is 100 words; there is no maximum length.
  • Deadline is open. Finish your stories as quickly or as slowly as you like.
  • Claims are first come, first served. If someone else has claimed a character you wanted, you can go on a waiting list. Or, you can come up with another variation featuring that character. For example, if someone is writing about Bumblebee, you can always write about Goldbug or Spike and Bumblebee. Fan Art Variation: Fanfic claims count for the fanfic challenges; fan art claims for the fan art challenges -- in other words, if someone has claimed Bumblebee for their fics, Bumblebee is still open to someone who wants to do fan art featuring him. And vice versa.
  • If for whatever reason you are unable to finish a claim, please email dunmurderin@yahoo.com or post in the community ASAP so that your claim can be reopened. Any claim that shows no activity for two months will result in you being contacted to see if you're still able to work the claim. If you do not reply when contacted, it'll be assumed that you're unable to finish the claim and the next person on the waiting list (if any) will be given their chance to write their stories. Note: This rule is largely in place in case someone asks to take a stab at a character who has been claimed and who has had no activity. Since this hasn't come up yet, I'm not being a bear about enforcing this particular rule.
  • Claim limit is set at two minibots. This can be broken down in a number of ways:

    • One minibot and one theme group (for a total of 7 stories/pictures)
    • One minibot and two theme groups (for a total of 14 stories/pictures).
    • Two minibots and one or two theme groups (for example, you could pick the same group for both minibots or different ones for each minibot). This can also be for those who want to write seven stories/do 7 pictures about two minibots in a non-romantic pairing. Cosmos and Huffer as opposed to Cosmos/Huffer.
    • One minibot pairing and one theme group for a total of 7 stories/pictures. A minibot pairing means two minibots -- Huffer/Gears, Brawn/Cosmos -- rather than a minibot and a non-minibot (Tailgate/Groove, for example). This option presumes a romantic interest between the two characters.

  • Stories and art should be posted to the community, under an LJ-cut. Click "How to do an LJ-Cut" if you're not sure how to do one. Please be considerate of other peoples' friends lists and/or those on dial-up connections, particularly in the case of large works of art.

The following information should be above the cut:

    Title:
    Author:
    Character/Pairing:
    Word count:/Art Style:
    Rating/Warning:
    Disclaimer/Author's Note:
    Group/Theme:

  • Fics/Art can be any rating from G through NC-17. All genres are open: het, slash, gen, plug and play, stickyfic, etc. but warnings should be placed in the ratings section.
  • Fics should be checked for grammar and spelling before they are posted. Beta-reading is nice, but not required.
  • Artists of all skill levels are welcome (me, I can barely draw a box). Art of all styles -- be it pen and paper, computer generated, photocomics, sculpture, painting (oils, watercolor, whathaveyou), etc. -- is acceptable. The important thing is to have fun.
  • It is the artist's responsibility to find a hosting site for their images. No hotlinking.

Themes: Interpretation of what a particular theme means can be as broad as you like. The word doesn't actually have to appear in the story/work of art, but the story/work of art should suggest the word in some way, shape or form.
